This promotional competition is organised by Alexander Forbes Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Alexforbes) whose registered office is at 115 West Street, Sandton.

Entering the competition

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 years.

By entering the competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules as interpreted by Alexforbes, whose decision on any dispute will be final and binding.

Alexforbes reserves the right to amend, modify or change these rules and to postpone, suspend or cancel this competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, at any time without notice for any reason which Alexforbes reasonably deems necessary.

Competition dates

The competition starts on 15 October 2022 and closing on 02 January 2023, both days inclusive.

How to enter the competition

To stand a chance of winning the prize, entrants will need to:

• follow the Alexforbes social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Twitter) that the competition is running on
• tag Alexforbes social media profiles and use the hashtag #alexforbesarchangel in a post on social media sharing your picture dropping your message into the bottle

Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

No automated entries will be allowed, and all entries must be made by a natural person manually on the social media platform. If any entry was made in a manner which in Alexforbes’s discretion provides the participant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, such participant will be disqualified from this and all future competitions run by Alexforbes.

The prize

The prize is a signed Alexforbes ArchAngel crew jacket.

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Selecting the prizewinner

The prizewinner will be selected randomly by software. The decision is final and binding and Alexforbes will not enter any correspondence regarding the decision.

Notifying the winner

The winner will be notified within 28 days of the closing date in a direct message on Alexforbes social platforms, as applicable. Once possible winners are notified on social media, they will have 24 hours to respond to the winner notification. If the possible winner fails to respond within 24 hours, Alexforbes reserves the right to determine another winner. By entering this competition, the entrant gives Alexforbes permission to post their name as the winner.

If Alexforbes cannot reach any person after drawing their entry for whatsoever reason, such person will be disqualified, and the draw of a replacement entry will take place in the same manner as the first draw.

If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

Alexforbes will notify the winner when and where the prize will be delivered. If details are not supplied correctly, Alexforbes will not be held responsible for delivering the prize to the incorrect address.

Using the winner’s name

Alexforbes may use the winner’s name in the winner announcement. Alexforbes may request the winners to be identified, photographed and published in various media (including social media) when accepting the prize or after having received their prize. However, the winner may decline the opportunity. Winners or participants who take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of Alexforbes.

Alexforbes may use the uploaded media in whole or in part, and any reproductions thereof, worldwide for advertising, promotion, publicity or otherwise on any website for any media purpose and for any other lawful purpose whatsoever.

The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Participants provide their information to Alexforbes and not to these platforms.

Alexforbes and its agencies reserve the right to correct any errors and omissions. These terms and conditions will supersede any errors or omissions on any publicly communicated documentation or marketing material.
